The Save Nottingham Airport campaign is run by a small group of well-organised people. It’s been a busy time since we were formed in 2024.
You will have seen Sarah’s frequent posts and her informative videos, but all of this is just the tip of the iceberg. She’s even busier than that!
The rest of the campaign group are beavering away behind the scenes as we strive for our objective: to prevent the closure of the former RAF Tollerton, known more locally as Tollerton Airfield or Nottingham City Airport.
We’ve commissioned a report on the suitability of the airport land being used for housing (spoiler – it isn’t suitable!). We’re also talking to legal experts with proven track records in areas of Planning and Pollution. If we have to go all the way to legal action in the High Court, the legal expertise won’t come cheaply.
So we’re asking for donations to help us carry on the battle as we seek to remove Tollerton Airfield from the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan (because, let’s face it, it should never have been included in the first place).
