One response to “Important: Have you sent your objections yet?”

  1. I lived in Tollerton before Gamston or any of the surrounding housing was built. Although the Lings Bar to Holme Pierpont releif road was constructed, the road and river bridge infrastructures along with schools, doctors and sewerage systems has not kept up and does not have plans to cope with the existing and proposed let alone the increases in the above listed. As well as destroying a historic Nottinghamshire landmark site, visited regularly by royalty, that provided work, training, entertainment and the sustaining of the local green environment. I have been present at the airport when human organ have been transported to Papworth, Edinburgh. etc cutting traveling times and saving lives. Whilst it is perfectly acceptable to use one of the disused airfield that have been abandoned in the East Midlands it is madness to destroy a working county asset that Many city’s in the other UK cities would be delighted to have on their doorsteps. You will never be able to replace this aviation facility. There is still plenty of brown field available adjacent to the proposed airfield site in Cotgrave former colliery, a genuine brown field site.
