Our archivist has uncovered a stunning aerial photograph of RAF Tollerton, taken in 1944. The photo shows some of the scale of Burn, Bash, and Bury where you can clearly see burn marks around the airfield on (and off) the dispersals. This valuable photograph shows some of the scale of the wholesale destruction of RAF bombers, and how widespread this destruction was around the airfield.
